The Electric Vehicle of Today
Most EVs until very recently have had relatively small batteries which have provided a range of 100-150 km:s. This means most EVs have been sold as a second car and used as a commuter to and from work. Based on this limitation the large scale use of EVs has not happened.
The size of batteries have however become bigger up to 90 KWh during the last few years. This has increased the reach up to 500 km, but an undesirable effect is that the time for charging has increased, which is completely contrary to the markets demand for shorter charging times.
